I received this sensor error message (Request timed out (ICMP error # 11010)). I am using PRTG version 17.3.32.2478.


Supposing that this is in the context of a Ping sensor, this means that the sensor was not able to reach the specified target. This can have several reasons (bad connection, flood protection, routing problems, etc.).

You could try to increase the "Ping Count" in the Settings tab of the sensor, this helps with packet loss (the sensor will not go into an error state if 2 out of 10 ping packets per scan are lost). Another option is to use a higher timeout, this would help with a slow connection.
