What issues might arise if I change the IP address of my PRTG core server, and what will happen to my license?
You could have problems, but don't have to. The easiest way is to do this:
- Log in via RDP to your PRTG core server
- Stop PRTG Administrator
- Shut down services of PRTG (maintenance)
- Bind another interface to the server with the new IP address
- Add this address to the options on the Web Server tab
- Set the "mark" to the new IP and start the PRTG core server with both addresses -> The IP with the mark is the "collector IP"
- Once you start the server with both addresses, the new IP is known to the probes
- In the next maintenance, you can delete the old IP
That's it. Maybe a second maintenance isn't essential.
