I'm trying to monitor a Synology NAS with new SNMP sensors, but PRTG cannot find it and generates SNMP errors. Do I need to set up probes or is there a specific method for monitoring a Synology NAS?
I'm afraid we are not able to reproduce this behavior here. Try to contact the Synology Support regarding the error. The error code itself indicates that the data type delivered back for this OID is unknown.
I would recommend to check with the vendor which SNMP MIB files are supported and then use the SNMP Library Sensor. For this, you need to convert the MIB into a OIDLib via the MIB Importer.
