I'm successfully monitoring local Fortigate interface traffic, but can't autodetect or manually configure SNMP Traffic sensors for a remote Fortigate over IPSEC VPN.
By default, Fortigate blocks SNMP queries destined for the WAN interface. This setting is blocked by default because when it is open and not secure, it allows anyone with the IP and community to poll the device for just about anything.
If you want to configure SNMP Traffic sensors for a remote Fortigate device, you can unblock this feature. You can also see if one of the PRTG remote probes can help.
