Hi,

I'm having a port sensor problem. I'm trying to monitor if a port 53333 is open on a device. The device is a satellite set top box that is listening on that port. The problem is that when the device goes down (gets unplugged, no ip connectivity, ...) the port sensor still shows an up state.

when the device is down, can you then try a telnet to the target port from the PRTG host on?

Hello,

yes I tried that, the telnet just timed out as it should, but the prtg portsensor was still showing that the port on the device is open no matter how long I waited. So as it is, the portsensor in prtg is always showing the port as UP no matter what.
