I am trying monitoring my virtual servers (Ubuntu, VMI,..) in a ESX server. I added a Device (ESX server) with user name, password in "Inherit Credentials for Windows Systems", and "Inherit Credentials for VMware Servers "; and then let it auto-discoveries. It found all virtual servers in ESX server. However, all servers were alerted with error "Not found".

In virtual server, I configured snmp and set user name, password for monitor. I tested that when I added these virtual servers as a Device with IP (domain name), it worked, but these servers in ESX have been being still "Not found".

How should I do? Help me!

Thanks and best regards, THT

Hi Konstantin, I am using ESX 5, and I configured snmp on ESX server by VMWare VSphere CLI. Before I configured snmp on ESX server, PRTG had not discovered any virtual server. Although then PRTG now discovers my virtual servers, but alerts "Not found". How can I troubles shoot?

Thank you

You mentioned using PRTG 7 at the moment, is that correct?

Yes, I am using PRTG 7

Hi,
I'm afraid ESX(i) 5 support was only added in PRTG 9.2. Any version before will show the "Not found" error you are mentioning. Please see the release notes for details.
