Discards on Serial Interface

PRTG is showing numerous discards on the a serial interface sensor. However when I go to the Cisco router and perform a show interface commands I dont see any dropped packets on the interface. How are discards reported?

PRTG just checks the according "sub-OIDs" for the interface to get the discards, errors, etc. and then shows the numbers.
