Is LLDP implemented in PRTG Monitor?

Does the auto-discovery function only use pings to detect connected devices or is there a way to get it to use LLDP to discover peers? Is LLDP implemented at all in PRTG?

LLDP is not implemented, sorry.

PRTG server needs to be able to ping a device to auto discover it.
