i should have an alarm when a event has come up.
the standard wmi event sensors will only show events/sec.

The Event Log sensor counts the number of events per second only for the events matching the filter you set up. So you would define your filters accordingly, then set up a Limit in the sensor's Channels tab.
For example, you could set an "Upper Error Limit" to 0 so you're alerted if any events match your filter since the last sensor scan.
We recommend you also configure a notification trigger in the sensor's Notifications tab, as such an error state of the sensor will only last until the next scan of the sensor.
Sorry, there is not other way to configure this.
