is it possible to move object connector position ?

I created some custom objects (status icons) ; when I connect them to each other in a map ( using object connector) the connection line connects them from center point of the icons. I want icons to get connected from their end points. any suggestions ?

Is it possible to move the current small and XL status icon across? When I connect lines they start from a point to the right. I would like that point to be in the middle of the icon.
