I added the IP address of my Netgear Switch, however when I try to add an SNMP traffic sensor so I can target a specific port it fails. Is there a specific way to setup an Netgear FS752TPS switch?

Dear Steven,

can you add a SNMP Uptime-Sensor to the device in PRTG which represents the Netgear Switch? If this does not work, but a Ping Sensor on the same device does, then there is likely an issue with the SNMP Communication (wrong SNMP Version, Port, Community String, the host of PRTG is not allowed to send SNMP Requests, etc.). If not even the ping does work, then the connection could be blocked entirely by a firewall or similar. For further tests to the SNMP Connection you can use our SNMP Tester.

best regards.
