We're trying to test certain https pages, but it seems Webserver Stress Tool isn't able to test them.

Please check your Webserver Stress Tool log files. If you encounter entries similar to the following,

02.12.2011 17:47:12: User #1 Click #1: CLICK-Request 1: Time=129 ms, TFB=0 ms, Bytes=0, HTTP-StatusCode=0 ((unknown http result)) URL #1=https://webpage/ 02.12.2011 17:47:12: User #1 Click #1: !FAILED! All requests of click done, but at least one request failed with HTTP result 0 (=(unknown http result)), (129 ms)

one potential reason would be that your web server does not allow the HTTPS connection to Web Server Stress Tool due to certificate issues. WST doesn't support all of the very latest SSL3/TLS options and, if the web server has tightened security, WST cannot connect to the server using SSL. In such an instance, the only possibility would be to test the server in case without using SSL.
