Customize alerts

I'm looking for a way to customize the alerts that are sent out.

So for example if a certain ping sensor were to detect a downed device I'd like the notification email to have the circuit number in the notification email.

I was looking for a way to add a new details field at the sensor level but haven't figured out how to do it yet.
