Is it possible to disable all notifications for all sensors except for some critical ones like PING, service availability,...? It is annoying to receive messages when PRTG is not able to connect to the HDD, CPU, whatever WMI for a few minutes, because of some server reboot or something similiar.

Hello,

you could use the dependency in such cases and set a ping sensor for each device to be the master object for the parent device. Then all other sensors will be paused when the ping fails to reach the target, and therefore as well will be the notifications on the other sensors.

best regards.

Hello,

but when WMI has a problem the PING sensor doesn't necessarily have a problem at the same time. I just want to get rid of all those WMI related problems. WMI often has problems because of some bogus reasons and those problems disappear after a while.

That's then a bit tricky I'm afraid. To really get rid of all the WMI Troubles one would have to use SNMP to monitor the Windows targets. For notifications on the WMI Sensors you could try using very long latencies, maybe disabling the inherited triggers from devices/groups.
