Hi,

If I try and add a new SNMP traffic sensor to a Cisco router, under the interface column it replaces the port ID (e.g. fa0/0/0) with the description that has been set on the router. If a description has not been added, then it will originate to the default ID. Is there anyway to stop the description replacing the ID as it becomes hard to tell which port is which without logging onto the router and confirming.

Thanks

Rob

Dear Rob,

are you referring to the "Interface-List" in the process of adding SNMP Traffic Sensors manually? Or later on, the Sensor Names of such sensors? The 2nd case can be "amended": How can I change the defaults for names automatically generated for new SNMP sensors?

best regards.
