Dear Support Team, really nice product and easy to understand. At the moment we implement a PRTG for testing and I had a closer look to the 'User Groups'. What I not understand is, when I create a User Group why the group is displayed under Local Probe. What is the idea behind this? Many thanks for your feedback. Brgds Markus

Dear Markus,

the "User Group Home" (device-group) is automatically configured to have access rights, that will allow the User Group to see/access the devices in it. Otherwise the default access right for the entire device tree for any (new) user group is always none.

Hi Torsten, thanks for your fast response. But how is the mapping between a 'User Group Home' and the devices. When I open the 'User Group Home' there no devices in it. Also when I change the access rights the user see the devices in the normal view but not in the 'User Group Home'. Is there a article or KB entry to read/understand the behavior?

There is no 'mapping' in this case. Such a new "User Group Home" is a normal new device group. You can move devices/groups into it, or create new ones in this group.
