Just been checking PRTG SNMP bandwidth usage stats and have a question, I’m seeing a peak a few hours ago on a router at 2,265 kbit/s. When I look at 2 day view the peak is only 2,087 kbit/s and only 1,702 kbit/s in 30 day view, 313 kbit/s in the 365 day view on the same router. Does this mean we only really see the true peaks when using the live graph and the others are some sort of average over X period depending on which view?

Thanks

James

Dear James,

peak-values are averaged in the history graphs. You can of course use the Historic Data Tab to check into a certain peak (with RAW-data values) anytime, though.

best regards.

What are the values used for each view?

You can check/change this on the Memory Usage-tab of the PRTG Server Admin Tool.
