Besides sensor data, are there tools that can report device information such as device count based on tags or names? Tools that can query the database for device name to IP/hostname relationship, device types, inventory type data?

You can use the API to get a CSV export of all the goods. Better than nothing. http://PRTGServerName/api/table.csv?content=sensors&columns=objid,probe,group,device,sensor,type,status,active,message,lastvalue,interval,lastdown,schedule,comments&count=50000&sortby=device
