Hi,

we would like to use PRTG to monitor the wireless part of our factory floor. The WLAN quality needs to checked continiously.

In order to do that we want to graph the ping response times (and time-outs) depending on the type of application (PC-app, or PLC communication) used. For PC-apps we need to ping every sec. For PLC communication, we need to check every 100ms

Can we use PRTG to ping 30 times in the 30 sec interval? (Once every second) ping 300 times in the 30 sec interval (Once every 100ms?)

Thanks, Wim

Dear Wim,

scanning intervals below 1s are not available. And even constantly pinging with 1 ping every second can be problematic because the lowest timeout setting is 1s, which would cause troubles for every following ping if one fails.

best regards.
