Devices in a group after auto descovery

I will create a group, and specify Generic Ping only for the template, and add an IP range in the settings. I also will tell it to run an autodiscovery weekly. After autodiscovery runs, if I look at 1 of the devices (IP's) that it finds, if I look at settings of that device, it is set to autodiscovery of the device the next time it runs, creating possibly multiple sensors that I do not want. I have to manually delete the unwanted sensors, and modify each device to include the Generic Ping template. I am running version 8.3.2.2158

it seems we can't reproduce this here. Is the template changed in the settings? Which other sensor are added when the auto-discovery runs again?
