I am having trouble with the CPU load sensor on my Windows Server 2008 box. The message returned is 80041017: The query was not syntactically valid.
I saw a previous poster with a similar issue was told to run the WMI Free Disk Space single drive and multiple drive sensors and see if they work, and they run on my server without issue, as well as the Memory and Ping sensors. Any idea what I could try to get this going?

Ok, I switched to the alternative query, bot still no luck. I get the same error message. "The query was not syntactically valid".
Windows firewall is active on the server, and the "Performance Logs and Alerts" inbound rule is not enabled. Is it possible that this could be causing a problem?
Thanks, Ryan

Please try disabling these two for a test. Should that fail, please try repairing the targets WMI System: I have tried a lot of things to fix my WMI. What else can I try to avoid reinstalling Windows?

Hello,
you could try switching to the "Alternative Query" for this CPU Sensor in its 'Settings'-tab. Does this help?
Best Regards.
