Error Message from the PRTG Core Server Log:

11/30/2010 10:17:20 AM Could not perform update check: Socket Error # 11001
Host not found.

Is this trying to hit some external update site? Is there some settings for PRTGv8 I should add to the outbound Windows Firewall? (OS = WS2k8R2)

this is an internal check in PRTG to our website, if there is a newer version available (but nothing is actually downloaded). It's a simple HTTPS-Request (this can't be changed), but "does not hurt" PRTG if it fails.
