Upgrade from free to paid on a new server

I'm currently using the V. 8.1.1.1695 freeware version, on a test server.

I'm in the process of purchasing a 500 sensor license, that I want to install on a new server with a new IP in production.

I found an article (below) with instructions on how to more PRTG to another computer, but I don't know if this is possible to do this and then upgrade from the free version to the 500 sensor paid version.

Please advise.

Hello,

you can still use the same "procedures" as in the article "How to move PRTG...". The Sensor-configuration is not linked to the License. Please just make sure, that you install the Commercial Edition with the purchased license on the new server (as the Freeware won't accept a commercial key).
