Hi, I have PRTG Network Monitor v7 and v8 in differents VM to test and I have some problems with Notifications on v8.

I have created a Notification on both versions with the same settings, but when I click "test" buttom to test the Notification, I just receive the Notification sent by v7. I can't use the Notifications on v8.

Could you please help me?

Hello,

there might be several possible reasons:

  • Does the mail-server accept connections from both IPs/VMs?
  • Are the HELO-Idents exactly the same in both systems?
  • Any other connectivity problem in the network?

What do you see in the Logs of the PRTG 8 system? What does it state about trying to send the mail?
