Why do the sensor status filters in the new AJAX GUI reset when the page elements refresh?

The new status filters in the AJAX GUI are extremely useful, but seem to be a little buggy. Is there any way to keep the filters from being reset when the Web GUI auto-refreshes? Is this a bug and is it being addressed?
