When I try to use the HTTP Full Web Page sensor to check the loading time of an URL I get back the error message: Timeout, executable did not return. (code: PE018). The URL to check doesn't matter. I already did a reset of Internet Explorer to default values.

which version of the IE is installed? Can you please try if it makes a difference when running the probe service under another account? How many sensors of this type do you have? Is it only one? Please try at least a scanning interval of 60s or 5 minutes for a test.

ok, the reason was a buggy shockwave plugin (which got installed appearently by default). after disabling it, everything works again. this all with w2k8 datacenter, IE8, vanilla install.
