Hello,

We are doing a Demo for PRTG API Version 18.4.47.1962 to monitor the network traffic. We have several cisco routers and switches in our environment (DSL /MPLS/P2P). We are trying to add a bandwidth sensor using the SNMP traffic but it failed with an error.

Sensor does not get response from device. SNMP credentials are wrong or device does not support the required uptime OID (1.3.6.1.2.1.1.3.0) for traffic sensors. This OID is mandatory by the SNMP RFC. Check SNMP access rights or contact device vendor. (code: PE244)

The cisco router is 887 DSL router and SNMP is enabled on it with the below command

Your help will be appreciated as early as possible the review and buy the product.

Thanks

Hi there,

Please try to use our SNMP Tester and perform a "Read Device Uptime" against the device. Post the logs here. Keep an eye out for Timeout errors in the log. If they occur, make sure that the target IP and the credentials are indeed correct. If you don't have either counter, you may be able to use the alternative approach, using the SNMP Custom Table Sensor.
