Sensor Problem

I have a problem, I added a sensor per oid it verifies if the equipment is connected = 1 one off = 0, but when I turn the equipment it returns 0 but it does not give the red alert that is down, because it is always green and up. What could you do for when you're down give the alert and stay in red.?
