Scenario: Network switch with many ports, some of them are already monitored by SNMP traffic sensor. Now a bunch of new ports goes online. With the current GUI of adding an SNMP traffic sensor you see which ports are connected or not connected, but you don't see, which ports already have a sensor placed on or not. So the customer has to manually check his documentation which ports are already covered by a sensor. Can we have another column in the "add sensor GUI" indicating that a sensor is already placed on the device? Deleting existing all sensors and adding all ports again is not a good option, as we will lose historical data. Would be a great help for customers with large switches when adding a large number of sensors.

Hello,
Thank you for your KB-post.
I am afraid that for now there are no plans to implement this feature, sorry.
As a workaround, you can try the following: create a device template for SNMP Traffic Sensors that will add active interfaces and that will have connection status handling enabled by default.
If you have previously added sensors manually you will get duplicate traffic sensors. But auto-discovery itself can be run as often as needed and will not create duplicate sensors, it will only add newly activated/used interfaces. So you can schedule auto-discovery to run daily and to re-scan the device for new interfaces.
Best regards
