Hi,
I would like to follow the state of a web page and if this page returns a 404 not found, display the sensor in error.
I think it's possible but I can't do it with HTTP sensors.

Hello,
I think that the problem to detect 404 errors with the http sensor comes from the fact that this site is a site lumapps (https://sites.lumapps.com) and to access it must log in via our professional Google email addresses. PRTG logically must be blocked in the authentication phase and can't go further, so it can't detect 404 in this case either.

You are probably right. I'm afraid indeed PRTG may not be able to pass the authentication here, and that would mean a custom script sensor is required to achieve what you are looking for.

Hello,
thank you for the KB-Post. May I ask, why the normal HTTP Sensors would not work for you? Because they will go into error state when encountering a 404 on a page.
best regards.
