Can the LDAP sensor use secure ports (ldaps), typically port 636? Or is it limited to only insecure connections?
Is there a way to test the service availability without using a login?

I'm afraid in the moment the LDAP sensor does only do insecure connections. LDAP over SSL is not yet supported (but on the wishlist though).
