Hello, i am trying to use SSH remote ping to catch the repsonse time between a switch stack and a router. I have this configred for shell access however the output of the sensor in the logs is not returning normal data.
I cant copy and paste the output as this is in an airgapped location and is subject to some absurdly high security standards. It successfully sends the ping -c 2 -s 32 [ip]
however when returning the STDOUT the issue appears to fall to -c as it is showing as an invalid input in the router shell.
Please can you advise how to fix this, or how to monitoring ping times between two network devices using SSH/SNMP

Unfortunately we cant as the other end device is not in our PRTG and is monitored internally by the customer. Do both ends need to be in PRTG for this to work?

Hi Sam,
Did you try the other way around already? I.e. let the router ping the switch (or vice versa, depending on what's configured currently).
Kind regards,
