Hi,

Autodiscovery picks up WMI Disk Free Sensor whih i want - however it scans all drives.

There are some drives that i dont want to monitor on some servers (Backup RDX/USB drives for example)

How do i remove those drives from the check as when i go into the sensor setings on that device, next to WMI Disk Free Configuration - Drive - Its set to ALL and it is greyed out so i cant select the drives

Thanks for your inquiry, we appreciate your contact regarding this matter!

Unfortunately you cannot remove a partition from this sensor, but you can hide specific ones, so they wont be displayed anymore. Open the corresponding channel settings (click on the gauge of the channel) and check in " Hide from Graphs" and " Hide from Tables". Please note, that you should deactivate the limits for those drives.

Even hiding them it still checks the drive partition though?

So currently i have an RDX drive connected as D: thats encrypted with Bitlocker and if Multi Disk sensor checks that drive before it is unlocked it reports that the sensor is down:

The host's WMI system is returning invalid data: in class Win32_LogicalDisk - d: FreeSpace d: Size (code: PE098)

I just dont want it checking the D: at all - i dont need to know what space is on it as the backup software manages the space for the drive.

Is my only option to go from 1 WMI sensor for disk space to 2 WMI sensors for disk space to monitor the C: and H: drives on that server, which i do actually want to know about their disk space?

Hi there,

Creating two sensors is the only way to leave out the D: drive if you want to use the WMI Multi Disk Sensor. If you don't want to lower the load caused by WMI, you can also enable SNMP and use the SNMP Disk Free Sensor.
