Hi
I am using PRTG to monitor all my devices. I have separated the windows update sensor so it is in its own group.
e.g
- Group: Physical Servers
- Host01 - PING sensor, HTTP sensor
- Host02 - PING sensor, HTTP sensor
- Group: Windows Updates
- Host01 - Windows Update Sensor
- Host02 - Windows Update Sensor
I like being able to see which servers need updating, but I don't want those sensors to count in the summary as down.
I want the summary to show hardware/services and connectivity issues only and not include how many servers need windows updates.
Thanks
Steve

Hello Steven,
Thank you very much for your contact.
There is not much you can do, because the sensor states shown either on the Welcome Page or the Global Header Area are global. If a sensor is down, the down sensor will increase by one.
This being said, the only shot is to adjust the settings of the Windows Update sensors themselves and configure the sensor to not be down if an update is missing. In this case, please adjust the sensor channel limits and change the behavior of a missing update to warning instead of down.
I am sorry that I can't offer a more satisfactory answer here.
Best regards,
Sebastian
