Hi,

There are noumerous requests for tabular SNMP in the forum, and we really really need it. Example, the OID of BGP peers state table of an Cisco 7200 router.

OID: .1.3.6.1.2.1.15.3.1.2

The return is tabular with all IP addresses (peers) and their status. This list holds from a few to dozends of peers. It's imposible to add these piece by piece into Custom SNMP sensor, and maintain them.

PTRG uses tabular OID's themselves in their build in templates, for instance the HP Disk .1.3.6.1.4.1.232.3.2.5.1.1.6 ... So no reason to bring this forward to the users.

Please, add support for tabular SNMP (and with index would be awesome).

Regards, Bastiaan

Dear B van Haastrecht

We do have plans to offer new SNMP custom sensors, but I cannot go into details until those plans come to fruition and are available in the preview branch.

However let me state that we are aware of the limitations of the current SNMP custom sensor which is limited to only one OID.

As for the Current version of PRTG (16.1.23) this is possible with the SNMP Custom Table sensor.

Edit: We also have two diffent alternatives/sensors that can be used for monitoring BGP peeers as of now:
