Hi,

I have configured PRTG to connect to my AD servers, I can see the AD groups from the drop down menu and create the group in PRTG.

When I'm trying to connect with my AD user, I'm getting error: Your login has failed, no corresponding Active Directory Security Group was found. Please contact your administrator!

I've doubled checked and the account I'm using is indeed part of the specific security group.

Can you please advice?

Thank you

Hi there,

How exactly do you login to the PRTG server? Are you using "domain\user" or just "user"? If you are using "domain\user", just use "user". Additionally, check if you are member of the in PRTG added Active Directory Security Group.

I know this is an old thread, but I have more or less the same problem.

My situation:

AD Group: PRTGAdmins, AD members: user1

AD Group: PRTGUsers, AD members: user2

PRTG Group: PRTGAdmins, AD group PRTGAdmins, setup as PRTG administrators

PRTG Group: PRTGUsers, AD group PRTGUsers, setup as read-only users

Login with user1: OK, all is working fine

Login with user2: Your login has failed, no corresponding Active Directory Security Group was found. Please contact your administrator!

I've checked and double checked groups, memberships, settings, ... all seems to be correct.

I'm logging in in PRTG with username only, no domain.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Mickeybyte
