Are there any enhancements to the way that syslog messages are displayed in any upcoming releases?

The current layout is more or less useless as I receive logs from Cisco switches which are stacking vertically so are completely unreadable. I can't even click the message to open it in some fashion.

I'm even considering using a different product because this implementation is simply pointless.

You're right, we're currently struggling somewhat to find the correct balance between readability and usability with this sensor's table. May I ask what version you're running? We improved the layout with 18.1.37.12158. Other than that, Graylog might be a viable solution for you in the meantime.
