I would like to know if PRTG is able to identify access points on a network. I don't see why it couldn't do this. They are a device with a static IP address. From my limited time playing with your software, I did not see a way to accomplish this. Any help is appreciated.

Which access points do you want to monitor? Most solutions come with a controller for their access points, which can be monitored via SNMP. To ease the process of importing the manufacturer's MIB files, you can follow this article.
