We have typically taken the most restrictive approach with opening ports in our firewall to PRTG. We only allow known IPs of remote probes to connect, but this causes issues with cellular backup or other connections that aren't static.
I can't find a best practice from Paessler on this? Are we correct to restrict access as much as possible or is there little concern in opening 23560 to the world?

Hi Schester,
I think a restrictive approach is a good one. You will find a list of all external servers and also ports, PRTG is using in different situations; here:
PRTG Connections to External Servers
PRTG Port Usage
I hope this helps.
