I just applied the update to 18.1.38 from 18.1.37 and the core service will not start. All was fine prior to the update. I do not see any reason in the event viewer. All I see in the log is

Startup: Starting Core Server: PRTG Network Monitor 18.1.38.11934 x64 ID: -1000

It does not start.

Any ideas?

Please download the latest stable version manually from here: https://downloads.paessler.com/prtg/prtg.zip

Disable an eventually existing antivirus temporarily and run the installer then manually. After rebooting PRTG should be coming back up again.
