We intent to Monitor an EMC AIX4 storagesystem. We already tried to use custom SNMP Libs as recommended by EMC:
http://www.emc.com/microsites/fibrealliance/index.htm
...but, that ones weren t very usefull at all.
Anyone any Idea or source of better SNMP MIBS for thouse Systems?
cheers..

Found a minimal solution at last:
Using the fibrealliance MIB showed an entry:
"conn unit Status"
After digging arround, it seems this one is providing integer values, and IMHO "3" ist stating that the unit is OK/healty and all other number indicate that something is wrong. however this is not yet veryfied, because all our Units ar in production.
if anyone has a testunit available: pleas test/verify! TNX

Hi
I also had no luck with SNMP polling. But I use the e-mail sensor to check for keep-alive messages and failure notices.
