I would like to know how to increase the interval of the historical data up to 5 seconds?

Dear Hamza

Please clarify your question. The historic data tab shows 60 minute averages by default, but it can be set to "No Interval (Display Raw Data)" to use the sensor scanning interval.

If you set the scanning interval of 60 seconds, you cannot get below.

sorry that i didn´t clarify my question. I want to get historical data with interval less than 15 seconds. so between each ping the interval should like 5 seconds or 3 seconds. these intervals i can get them through live data only. any idea how to do it?

Dear Hamza

Please note that PRTG officially supports scanning intervals down to 10 seconds only. While it is possible to set 5s or 3s, we don't provide technical support for it.

The live graph shows single data points. Other graphs normally use averages, depending on the scanning interval. 2-day, 30-day and 356-day graphs don't have the resolution to show data with a scanning interval of seconds, so averages are used.

To get the actual data without averages, please use the "historic data" tab and set the average interval to "No Interval (Display Raw Data)".

One easy way to lower your scanning intervals with ping sensors is to set the scanning interval lower but increase the number of pings and duration between pings. This will result in the same effect staying within support and also helps better depict packet loss vs device down.
