I cannot find any manuals around custom report writing, other than little snippets of instructions found in knowledgebase questions.

I'm looking to understand custom reports a little better in terms of creating custom parameters, such as providing a drop down where the user can select a customer for example (is that even possible?), and further information around what the graph parameters mean etc (what does graphid actually mean, what values can I provide for datastyling element)?

Any ideas, or do I have to ask specific questions on the knowledgebase?

Aside from modifying report templates, there are no other manuals available, at least not from us. Actually, what you're trying to achieve is a custom report interface which is not possible without writing your own application for that using PRTGs API :)
