i'm a completely newbie about snmp protocol. For what i have understood, MIB is a file that can only be read. Am i right?

That's correct :)
MIB is basically a catalogue with available OID items for a device, including several descriptions of those items. Those MIB files can be imported into PRTG using the MIB Importer. Foreach OID within that MIB file, a sensor will be created.
