I've been trying to setup a new SMS alert but keep getting an error when I either test it via the test button or when the sensor it's attached to goes down. Unforunately the error isn't much help.

The error occurs with the above number and three others that I've tested. We have a large amount of SMS alerts setup for our network and some of them were tested on 02/05/2015 without any problems.

This issue seems to be with new alerts I've setup. We're using Clickatell as our SMS provider and their website isn't reporting any text failures.

Hi Rob,

So you have working SMS notifications, but only new ones fail? Have you tried setting it up with the direct Clickatell API URL? It looks like this:

http://api.clickatell.com/http/sendmsg?api_id=xxxx&user=xxxx&password=xxxx&to=xxxx&text=xxxx

Simply fill in the variables and try to call it from the browser on your PRTG server. If it works, set it up accordingly under Setup > System Administration > Notification Delivery > SMS Delivery > Configuration Mode > Enter a custom URL for a provider not listed

Use the following placeholders for the recipient phone number and the text message: %SMSNUMBER, %SMSTEXT.
