Hi
I'm looking to use our PRTG installation to monitor whether an Availability Group cluster is failed over - I can do this via a fairly simple SQL Query.
I've created the SQL Server sensor, and if I use a SQL Server username and password, I can get the sensor to work, however, if I create a SQL Server login for the PRTG domain user, with the same privileges as the SQL Server user, I get a 'Login failed for DDD\XXX' message. (and just to be sure, I've granted privileges to the user DDD\XXX)
The PRTG domain user exists and is currently used to monitor other items on the server, such as disk space.
Can you think of any reasons why the SQL Server sensor would fail?
Many thanks
Carl

Is the user allowed to login from the PRTG host address? Privileges were flushed as well?
