PRTG unterstützt direkt nur das, was in Windows nativ ausgeführt werden kann, also Exe und Bat, und je nach Windows-Version und Einstellungen Powershell. Die meisten Scriptsprachen bieten eine Exe-Datei als Interpreter, welche via Extra-Skript aufgerufen werden kann, so dass über diesen Umweg zum Beispiel auch Python-Programme als Custom-Sensor ausgeführt werden können.
