Status sending Email: "user@gmail.com" too many connections from your IP (rate controlled)

This is the fact, it could be the "error message" from google.
But on google product forums, the error is shown as:
The error indicates that the receiving site has decided not to accept more connections from google. It isn't likely related to anything specific that you did. But it is probably a configuration problem with the recipient domain" ( https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/gmail/3_lkyMYHBns )
Maybe you have to control your recipients ;)

Hey bon,
could it be that google has blocked your mails from PRTG in case of spamming? How many mails are send before this error?
Sending Mails with external services is very critically. It makes sense how many mails you want to send via this services.
Maybe try with a second relay server, just another service. Also try to "order" notifications. Send the first one and order the other for 1 or 2 minutes before you send a bulk mail ;).
