hello , We have a PRTG probe where during our initial days of PRTG, we had added WMI sensor's for Monitoring Disk Space,Memory and CPU load as well as WMI service . Now, It just happened that this PRTG probe is heavily loaded with WMI sensor's and affecting the performance (we have to restart the probe server due to insufficient ports at frequent intervals) . we are in the process of manually removing each sensors and replacing them with their SNMP counterpart (manually) is there any mechanism where we can do it more simplified way ( like in Bulk) as there are a lot of servers(each having 5 WMI sensors) in that probe Also, if i am removing this WMI sensors (2 years old ) it also means that i am deleting the history and data. is there any way out where i can backup the data stored in those WMI sensors ?

Dear Shreyas Mohite,
The best way to add the same type of sensors to multiple devices is to use Device Templates. Create a device and add all sensors of your interest with thresholds. Right-Click on the device name and choose "Create Device Template". Afterwards go to the settings of e.g. a Group > Group Type > Sensor Management > Automatic sensor creation using specific device template(s) and choose your template.
You can keep your historic data by pausing the old sensors. These paused sensors won't be counted to your maximum number of sensors.
Best regards
