I have configured a custom SNMP sensor with regular expression for my UPS, which looks for ???1??????? value..

However, I would like it to display a personalized message when it enters into the error state instead of generic "error: string found" message..

I can only configure the personalized message in the Channel settings and my only channel is "response time"...

I was thinking about configuring en error limit of something like 600000 mseg for the response time channel and put my "personalized message" there, but I dont know if this will work.

The only way to get a custom string to show in the last message field is to set up channel limits and change the error message there, in the case of a string not being found, this error message is hard programmed into PRTG.
